I'm very happy with the service I receive at the sands end health centre. Everyone is polite and friendly. Above all the doctors listen to you and show concern. It is great to have other facilities such as the nurses, in order to have vital checks done ie. Diabetic and asthma checks, blood test and blood pressure checks amount some of the services offered.

In this instance I had cause to go to the afternoon walk-in clinic. I was treated well & seen very quickly & by my usual doctor which was nice for me. However, when I want an appointment to discuss other matters, sometimes the wait to see my favoured doctor is far too long.

Staff at reception are very rude and unhelpful especially on the telephone

The appointment booking system is very good. I can usually book an appointment with a doctor within a few weeks (my appointments are not urgent). The doctors don't feel too rushed, do seem to have enough time, although the appointments do sometimes run late because of previous over running patients. For anything urgent, I attend the walk in surgeries on the day (which is a great improvement on the previous system where it was almost impossible to see a doctor on the same day). I am very happy with the surgery, its clean & the receptionists are friendly, & the doctors are very professional & provide a good service.
